Variants
There are many variants of blackjack, thanks to the popularity of the game world wide. Here we discuss the most popular types of the game.Pontoon is version of blackjack played in the UK with several key differences.
Spanish 21 is a particularly loose form of blackjack, and by that we mean that some of the rules, such as doubling down, are laxer. in addition, you´ll enjoy bonuses for winning hands that contain five or more cards and player blackjacks always win. However, there are no 10 cards in the decks which reduced your odds somewhat.
Vegas Blackjack: in this variant, if you go bust you do not necessarily lose you r bet if the dealer goes bust as well, if the dealer finishes with a higher total or goes bust "worse".
Double Exposure Blackjack: in this variant of blackjak the dealer's cards are both face-up. The house edge is higher as blackjacks are paid out even money on blackjacks and you will lose a ties instead of their being a push.
Double Attack Blackjack: in this variant you can up your bet once youhave seen the dealer's face up card. Again blackjacks only pay even money.
Vingt-et-un is a French varainat in which you cannot split your cards. Also aces are only worth and two aces count as a Blackjack.
Chinese Blackjack: another variant in which you cannot split cards.
Blackjack Switch: a blackjack varaint widely available online in which you are dealt 2 hands and you can switch cards between the hands initially. Natural blackjacks payout evens instead of 3:2, and if the dealer gets 22 it´s a push.
Tournament Blackjack: in this varaint, players play as part of a knock out tournament. the eventual winner scoops the prize and there are generally one or two runners up prizes as well.
Side bets. Look out for balckjack variants that offer additional side bets . For example, "21+3," in which your 2 face up cards and the dealer's up card make up a 3-card poker hand; you get a pay off of 9 to 1 on a straight, flush or three of a kind. Generally speaking, most side bets offer worse odds than the blackjak and are a way of the casino of increasing its edge over the player- we recommend that you avoid them.
